None of the programs Itasca Research tracks in Georgia that pay $25,000 or more per Class 8 truck lists the Tesla Semi as an eligible vehicle (checked August 17, 2026). Vehicle lists are updated by the administrators; the full Georgia page carries every program and a heads-up when a list changes.

How Eligibility Is Determined

A Tesla Semi is a Class 8 battery-electric tractor — over 33,000 lb GVWR. Most programs keep no make/model list and admit a truck by rule: vehicle class, zero tailpipe emissions, and the program’s own conditions. Some keep a catalog of approved vehicles. For each program Itasca Research records which applies and whether the Semi qualifies, and re-checks it when the program’s documents change.

Federal credit. The federal Commercial Clean Vehicle Credit (§45W — up to $40,000 for a vehicle of 14,000 lb GVWR or more) is not available for vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025; a truck counts as acquired by that date only under a written binding contract with a payment made by then, and can still claim the credit when delivered later. State and utility money is unaffected. IRS: Commercial Clean Vehicle Credit · checked August 22, 2026.
